AS Archaeology & Heritage Services was commissioned to write a Written Scheme of Investigation (WSI) for the conversion of barns to holiday accommodation, demolition of a Dutch barn and general groundworks. The site is within an area of high archaeological potential with a probable Romano-British settlement within the locality. Batts Farm is located on the north Somerset Levels slightly south east of Cheddar.
