Hartpury Bee Shelter is a Grade II* listed stone beehive shelter now located within the churchyard of St Mary’s Church Hartpury.  This unusual three-tier beehive appears to have been constructed in the 19th century by a notable Gloucestershire stonemason, Paul Tuffley.  It was relocated to its present site from Hartpury College in 2002, having formerly stood in Nailsworth. This highly decorative and extraordinary building could accommodate at least 28 working skeps (840,000 bees!) with storage for more spare skeps beneath.  It measures 7.3m and is 2.4m high.
